This is a connection with the past and present version of each character. Throughout life, we make many
decisions, both good and bad. Sometimes, it's difficult to see the immediate result of a decision. The
main inspiration for this painting came from my 10 year high school reunion. The people who I thought were the
most likely to succeed, actually were the least successful. The quiet shy students blossemed into very successful
role models. Take a close look at each character. You will notice that there is a "before" and "after" version of
almost every character. If I were to paint the person who you are today, as well as who you will be in 20 years,
what observation will the veiwer have of your decisions in life?
